How to play an M3U playlist on a Samsung Smart TV

An M3U playlist is a link from your provider that lists your channels. A Samsung TV cannot open such a link on its own, but a media player app can. This guide shows how to add your playlist to Veyra Player.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Open Veyra Player on the TV and accept the terms of use. The activation screen shows a device code and a QR code.
  2. Start the free trial on the TV, or scan the QR code and choose a licence on your phone.
  3. On the TV, open Settings → Portals and scan the QR code on that screen with your phone.
  4. On your phone, add a portal: give it a name, paste the playlist link and save.
  5. The TV switches to the new playlist within a few seconds and loads your channels.

Groups, logos and TV guide

Channel groups and logos are read from the playlist (group-title and tvg-logo). If the playlist includes a guide link (url-tvg), Veyra Player loads the XMLTV guide and shows what is on now and next on every channel.

Channels that include catch-up information can be rewound and watched from the archive, when your provider offers it.

Troubleshooting

Important

Veyra Player is only a player. We do not provide, sell, host or link to any channels, films, series or subscriptions. You need your own service from a provider, and you are responsible for having the right to use it.

Ready to try it?

Veyra Player comes with a free trial. Activate your TV in a minute.
